Kalye Artisano - Bamboo House
Tucked within the heart of El Nido, and straddling the fine line between work and play, kubo PIOPIO redefines what it truly means to be able to work from anywhere. Taking its roots from indigenous Filipino architecture creates a cozy nest for its guests in the middle of Palawan’s rich natural landscape: balconies that open up to leaf canopies overhead, walls that blur the line between what’s inside and out, and windows that allow the structure breathe in the ocean breeze. This fusion between co-working and co-living is indeed a tropical haven for the keyboard-tied nomad in pursuit of adventure and the perpetual summer.
Kalye Artisano - Rattan House
As a celebration of El Nido's deep appreciation for the arts, Kalye Artisano stands as a melting pot for art-inspired produce, where intricately crafted dishes waft in its restaurants, bespoke beverages froth in its bars, and enticing fashion pieces line its retail outlets.
Currents for Currents
The proposal aims to fulfill the need for reliable electrical power infrastructure in Mindanao and make coastal communities more resilient in the midst of typhoons and rising sea levels. Mindful of imposing modern technology on the deeply rooted, old-world cultures, We based the Currents for Currents housing design and site plans on the current dwellings of the Tausug, Samal, and Badjao tribes.
